“Great for texting, not so hot as a pocket phone” Reviewed by PersonWhoCalls , Portland, OR on July 14, 2010
Acceptable phone with mostly acceptable call quality (though not as good as my past Samsung phones, which were excellent). Mainly, I miss my old flip phone that didn't tend to have its buttons pushed inadvertently in the pocket and didn't require an unlocking sequence every time one uses it (just flip open and go). Mostly the in-pocket triggering is harmless (assuming you turn the sounds off), except for the fact that it seems to run the battery down more quickly. If you are big on daily texting, however, and don't want an expensive monthly plan, this would be a very good phone (and if you are no longer 8 years old, don't worry, you can pick a different graphic display than the default mode). I, however, am not into texting more than a few times a month, so the benefits of a decent (and increasingly hard to find) smaller flip phone outweigh this for my type of use.
Pros: it has a qwerty keyboard
Cons: not for carrying in one's pocket
“Reception lacks” Reviewed by 2daylight , Lebanon.tn on July 14, 2010
When other phones right next to me can get a full signal this phone says signal is lost. I will not purchase another item made by Samsung unless something changes. Guess what!... My battery life stays good because the phone loses reception and I can't talk.
Pros: not costly
Cons: does not get a signal
“pretty good phone” Reviewed by jabadiah , roanoke, VA on July 14, 2010
the camera button is in a a bad spot, when using the phone i accidentally turn it on pretty often. But the key board is pretty good. My wife is happy that I actually will text with her now, though I wish the buttons were just a bit bigger. ALso I can not figure out how to zoom the camera, the button that says it is supposed to do it, does nothing.
Pros: easy to use good battery life
Cons: buttons to small camera button in bad place
