“Not the best for low vision user”

I am visually impaired, not totally blind. The TALKS software is not customizable at all, one voice, very few options, etc. I am also unable to change the screen display to make it large enough or reverse video to be able to read easily. Not enough memory to run TALKS software on top of other applications, so it slows down the device considerably. The timeout on the keypad backlight is way too short.
Pros:
battery lasts a long time keyboard easy to use
Cons:
display and talks not very customizable

The size of the HTC Ozone Talks and its Qwerty are great. The battery needs to be charged daily with minimal use (a couple calls & couple text messages per day). No option to change the "Talks" male voice which can be monotonous at times so at times I just turned the volume down.
Pros:
phone and qwerty perfect size.
Cons:
short battery life male voice with no alternatives.

I cannot find out ANYTHING about the screen reader in the user guide or anywhere. This is why we paid so much to buy this phone: voice commands (which are still frustrating to use) and the screen reader.
Pros:
it sounds great and has a lot of capabilites.
Cons:
user guide does not address how to use the screen reader
