I just upgraded from the UM 150 usb mobem which was constantly disconnecting even with an external antenna. This new modem has been up for four hours with no disconnects and I don't have a cable for my external antenna yet, The speed is as good or even better than the old modem without the external antenna.
Pros:
no disconnects works well with the cradlepoint router.
Cons:
non so far.

I have had the USB720 modem for the last two and a half years and decided to upgrade to the PC card....rec'd it today and very simple to install....basically slide it in! I find broadband to be pretty fast but with this new card I was on my yahoo home page in 1- 2 seconds....it's almost an instantaneous internet connect!! I had to remove the adapter and use this as an express card and it was very difficult to slide it out of the pc card adapter....don't be afraid to pull hard. I use my broadband just at home and never have had a connection problem and never lose my connection...have been very happy with Verizon broadband service and this PC card makes it even better....very pleasantly surprised at the increase in speed. I like this card better than the USB modem as it only extends about an inch out of the slot and the USB modem always seemed to be in my way because of its size.
Pros:
fits in card slot with only an inch extension very fast
Cons:
none

The setup was simple, just insert it and between Windows 7 finding the drivers and the software autoinstalling it was simple. You just follow the on screen instructions. Also it is about twice as fast as tethering to my Alias 2 for internet on my laptop. Well worth it.The only down side is the antenna sticks out of the slot by an inch and could get broken if I leave it in the computer and put the computer in my laptop bag.
Pros:
easy to install. just plug it in and windows 7 found the drivers and walked me through the setup.
Cons:
antenna sticks out and could get broken

Worked right out of the box. Neat functionality in that all the software is on an embedded USB drive in the unit itself. No need to use a CD to install the software. No issues setting it up on PC or Mac.
Pros:
works on pc and mac
Cons:
none
